Python Data Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities and attributions

• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes;
• Build and optimize data pipelines for analytical consumption;
• Model and transform data from different source systems;
• Ensure the quality, performance, and sustainability of data processes;
• Monitor workloads and seek operational efficiency focusing on cost and performance;
• Work with data modeling and mining, supporting analyses and segmentation;
• Document processes, flows, and technical deliveries;
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, engineers, and business areas;
• Support the integration and development of new team members;
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in internal processes.

Requirements and qualifications

• Complete higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related areas;
• Experience with ETL processes;
• Knowledge in SQL and Python;
• Knowledge in relational and non-relational databases;
• Experience with data analysis, monitoring indicators, and developing analytical studies;
• Technical English for reading and understanding documentation.

Desirable:

• Knowledge in Data Lake;
• Experience with Apache Spark;
• Experience in data engineering projects in high-volume information environments;
• Knowledge of best practices in governance, quality, and data architecture.
