About the Position

The Junior GIS Developer Analyst will work on software solutions focused on geoprocessing and geographic information systems, taking the first steps in the development cycle under the guidance of more experienced professionals. This position is a great opportunity for those building their technical foundation and looking to grow in a context that combines programming with spatial data. We are looking for a person with a desire to learn, readiness to tackle daily technical challenges, and a genuine interest in technology applied to the forestry and geospatial sector.

Responsibilities

• Support the evolution of the system, under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
• Code functionalities according to received technical specifications.
• Help identify flaws and opportunities for improvement in the code.
• Conduct tests on the demands you are involved with, with the support of the team.
• Respond to customer requests, providing basic support and clarifying doubts.
• Identify and document problems, ensuring communication with the team.
• Assist in the development of simple scripts and database routines.
• Follow quality standards related to code, service, and systems.

Requirements

• Ongoing Higher Education in Systems Analysis, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience in software development.
• Experience with .NET (C#) and Python.
• Experience in developing REST APIs.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Git and code versioning.

Additional Preferences

• Knowledge in WPF / XAML and MVVM pattern.
• Knowledge in GIS Development (ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, or similar).
• Knowledge in ArcGIS PRO and ESRI products.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban).
• Proficiency in Spanish and English.
