Requirements Analyst

Responsibilities and Duties

• Use the best practices and available tools to gather functional and non-functional requirements that the system to be developed must present.
• Guide, monitor, and direct developers regarding the use of Requirements process tools.
• Capture a Common Vocabulary.
• Classify the Critical Processes of the System.
• Participate in the construction of Prototypes.
• Define Report Specifications.
• Define Audit Trail records.
• Describe the User Interface.
• Develop Supplemental Specifications.
• Develop a Requirements Management Plan.
• Document the Classification of Information.
• Prepare Supplemental Specifications.
• Prepare a Glossary.
• Prepare a List of Requirements.
• Prepare a Matrix of Access Profiles for the system.
• Prepare System Messages.
• Specify Functional Requirements / Use Case.
• Structure the Use Case Model.
• Conduct the Requirements Approval Meeting.
• Collect, Document, and Prioritize Preliminary Requirements.
• Maintain Business Rules.

Requirements and Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Data Processing, Information Systems, Computer Science, or other areas of Information Technology or a Bachelor's degree in any area with a specialization in Information Technology.

Desired Certifications: CPRE - Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering. IBM Certified Specialist for Rational Requirements Management w/Use Cases.
