GCP Cloud Architect Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties

Conduct technical training, workshops, and lectures (mainly in Spanish) on GCP;

Develop hands-on demonstrations and proof of concepts (PoCs);

Support clients in adopting application modernization and infrastructure solutions;

Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures;

Act on cloud migration strategies;

Collaborate with technical and business teams in qualifying opportunities;

Disseminate best practices, trends, and innovations in cloud;

Support digital transformation initiatives focused on serverless and cloud-native solutions;

Interact with technical and business stakeholders across Latin America.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Experience in cloud solution architecture and designing scalable solutions;
• Experience with application modernization and cloud-native/serverless architectures;
• Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging;
• Experience with containers and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes / Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE);
• Knowledge in infrastructure as code (IaC), especially with Terraform;
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices;
• Experience with migrating environments to the cloud;
• Knowledge of networking and Linux environments;
• Experience with observability and monitoring of distributed systems;
• Experience in API management;
• Experience in solution architecture;
• Advanced Spanish for conducting presentations and training.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Firebase;
• Knowledge in BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow;
• Experience with API management via Apigee;
• Experience with Enterprise Scheduler Service;
• Experience with Anthos;
• Knowledge in Cloud SQL and Memorystore;
• Experience with AI/ML in GCP, including Vertex AI;
• Knowledge in Looker;
• Experience with Kafka;
• Experience with GitOps, including ArgoCD;
• Knowledge in Istio;
• Experience with FinOps;
• Experience with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering);
• Knowledge in cloud security best practices.
