Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to lead technical decisions and evolve a high-scale distributed platform. This professional will play a key role in designing resilient architectures, sustaining high performance, and ensuring consistent engineering standards. Responsibilities:

Lead the development of high-performance backend services using Java (11+) and Micronaut.
Design and evolve architectures based on microservices and event-driven models, utilizing Kafka.
Define and implement resilience, scalability, and observability standards in AWS environments.
Model data and optimize advanced queries in PostgreSQL.
Ensure good security practices, versioning, and service governance.
Conduct code reviews, disseminating standards and raising the technical quality of the team.
Act in incident analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Mentor developers and act as a technical reference within the team.
Influence technical roadmap and architecture decisions.

Requirements and Qualifications

Solid experience with Java 11+ and modern frameworks (preferably Micronaut).
Strong knowledge in distributed architecture and microservices.
Advanced experience with Kafka (topics, partitions, consumer groups, DLQ, event-driven patterns).
Proficiency in PostgreSQL (modeling, tuning, and performance).
Experience with AWS (RDS, MSK, API Gateway; IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation is a plus).
Knowledge in CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
Proven ability to lead complex technical solutions.

Differentials

Experience with DDD, Event Sourcing, or CQRS.
Use of tools like DataDog, OpenTelemetry, or Feature Flags.
Experience as a Tech Lead or technical leadership.
Experience with multi-region and fault-tolerant architectures.
