Data Scientist (Mid-Level)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Propose, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance end-to-end machine learning models;
• Interact with business areas to define solutions through a systemic and broad vision;
• Conduct complex analyses, extracting valuable insights and generating a positive impact on business;
• Develop and implement monitoring and results measurement solutions;
• Optimize the handling of massive data, ensuring efficiency and accuracy;
• Support other data scientists, promoting a continuous learning environment;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate data solutions across different areas of the company;
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data science and AI, applying them to continuously improve existing processes and models.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven experience in extracting value through the use of data, preferably in the areas of Data Science/Big Data;
• Ability to assess impacts and returns of Machine Learning models;
• Skill to present methodologies and results clearly and effectively to business areas;
• Advanced knowledge in Machine Learning Algorithms;
• Solid experience with statistics;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Intermediate experience working with data science (considering master's and doctorate);
• Advanced and consolidated knowledge in Python and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in parallel programming and Big Data frameworks;
• Experience with GenAI: frameworks, embeddings, RAG, model evaluation;
• Familiarity with LLM architectures and concepts such as transformers.
