The Senior Paid Media Buyer at Ridge plays a crucial role in supporting the paid media team to execute and strategize effective paid social advertising campaigns across various channels - with an emphasis on ad platforms such as Meta, Tiktok, Snapchat, Twitter/X, and Applovin. This role involves optimizing campaign performance, analyzing data, and contributing to strategic planning efforts. Job Responsibilities
Campaign and Platform Ownership:
- Navigate and manage various paid social media platforms, including Meta, Tiktok, Snapchat, Twitter/X, and Applovin.
- Stay up to date on platform changes, updates, and best practices to ensure campaigns remain effective.
Ad Building
- Own the creation, management, and optimization of paid social media advertisements.
- Develop and implement ad copy and creative content that aligns with campaign objectives.
- Ensure that all ads meet platform guidelines and brand standards.
Data Analysis
- Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on key metrics such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Own the creative feedback loop, translating paid media performance data into actionable direction for the creative team.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in all ad campaigns and creative materials.
- Monitor ad performance to identify any issues or discrepancies and take corrective action as needed.
Ad Creative
- Coordinate with the performance creative team to develop compelling ad visuals and strategy that resonate with target audiences.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to the creative team to enhance ad effectiveness.
- Ensure creative assets are received and launched in accordance with campaign deadlines.
Campaign Management
- Manage and optimize campaigns across all owned channels.
- Implement targeting strategies to reach the desired audience segments.
- Monitor and own budget allocation and adjust spend and bid controls to maximize campaign performance.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the development of campaign strategies and media plans.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for campaign improvement.
- Assist in the research and identification of new advertising opportunities and platforms.
- Demonstrate depth in creative analysis frameworks to identify what's working, what's not, and why.
External Partner Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for external ad partners and agencies for owned channels.
- Review, analyze, and share insights around campaign performance with external ad partners and agencies in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of DTC Paid Media Buying and Growth Marketing experience.
- Expertise in media buying across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter/X, and AppLovin.
- DTC ad agency experience and/or in-house experience at a $100M+ DTC brand is a plus.
- Familiarity with third-party analytics and attribution tools such as Northbeam, Triple Whale, Haus, and GA4.
- Strong knowledge of incrementality, lift testing, and spend scaling.
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience building and presenting performance reports.
- Experience in audience segmentation, retargeting strategies, and A/B testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in GSuite, Notion, Slack, and Loom for day-to-day productivity, documentation, and async communication.
