We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist with a strong accounting or CPA background to support our complex medical billing operations, insurance coordination, and revenue cycle management. This role is critical to maintaining accurate claims processing, payment reconciliation, and insurance communications while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance within our dynamic environment.
3.) Key Responsibilities
- Process medical insurance claims and manage billing workflows.
- Coordinate insurance benefit determinations and patient responsibility calculations.
- Handle insurance denials, appeals, and follow-up processes.
- Manage QuickBooks accounting tasks and medical billing software platforms including Tibra and Practice Fusion.
- Ensure accurate coding and claims submissions.
- Monitor outstanding claims and payment reconciliation.
- Maintain organized billing records and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with clinical teams regarding billing inquiries and insurance issues.
- Generate billing reports and financial analytics.
- Support key revenue cycle management initiatives.
4.) Must-Have Requirements
- CPA certification or an accounting degree.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of billing, accounting, healthcare finance, or medical billing experience.
- Strong, proven QuickBooks proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with medical billing software platforms.
- Solid understanding of insurance coordination of benefits (COB).
- Excellent numerical accuracy and razor-sharp attention to detail.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
5.) Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Bilingual skills in English/Spanish.
- Professional medical billing certification (such as AAPC or AMBA).
- Experience directly with healthcare revenue cycle management.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Experience handling multiple insurance carriers simultaneously.
- Direct familiarity with Practice Fusion or Tibra platforms.
