About the Energy & Utilities Unit
The Energy & Utilities unit at BIP is at the forefront of the systemic challenges in the energy sector — including decarbonization, electrification, digitalization, urbanization, and customer centricity. The BU conducts projects across the entire value chain of the sector, offering services in mergers and acquisitions, operational excellence, organizational transformation, risk management, operational model optimization, and digital strategies. The area also utilizes advanced technologies such as RPA, machine learning, and deep learning to develop new business models and deliver sustained value to clients.

Job Mission
Act as a Business Consultant (Mid/Senior) within the Energy & Utilities BU, leading strategic and transformational projects for major players in the sector, guiding decisions through data, modeling, and advanced methodologies, and being a direct agent of impact in the evolution of the Brazilian energy ecosystem.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct diagnostics, analyses, and strategic recommendations for companies in the energy sector, covering topics such as operational efficiency, organizational transformation, risk management, and customer strategy.
• Engage in mergers and acquisitions projects, post-merger integration, regulatory analyses, and business modeling throughout the energy sector value chain.
• Develop and support innovation and digital transformation initiatives using advanced approaches such as AI, data science, RPA, and agile methodologies, integrating technology and business to generate measurable impact.
• Structure executive deliverables, presentations, and workshops, contributing to a strong and consultative relationship with clients.
• Work in multidisciplinary squads, collaborating to disseminate knowledge and continuously evolve the BU within the BIP ecosystem.
• Support the creation of frameworks, benchmarks, and knowledge assets that strengthen the practice of Energy & Utilities.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education
All degrees are welcome! Graduate, MBA, or certifications in Energy, Projects, Strategy, or Digital Transformation or related areas. Experience
Previous experience in management consulting (Mid/Senior level), with involvement in strategic, transformation, or performance improvement projects — preferably with globally recognized firms. Proven track record of delivery in complex and multidisciplinary projects, with the capacity to operate across different sectors and business contexts. Experience in topics such as innovation, operational optimization, process redesign, organizational excellence, or digital transformation. Experience in the energy sector (including topics such as generation, transmission, distribution, commercialization, free markets, or regulation), utilities, or infrastructure is a plus, but not a requirement. Technical Knowledge
Strong analytical capability, with mastery of structured modeling, data synthesis, and development of evidence-based recommendations. Ability to structure complex and ambiguous problems, translating analyses into actionable insights for different audience levels. Familiarity with project management methodologies and collaborative tools; knowledge of agile methods is a plus. Proficiency or strong familiarity with contemporary challenges in the energy sector such as decarbonization, electrification, digitalization, sustainable capital, and new business models is a plus. Knowledge of free energy market dynamics, structuring PPAs, renewable integration, and energy portfolio management. Experience in in-depth regulatory analyses, with ability to navigate complex and transforming environments. Previous involvement in digitalization initiatives, development of AI/ML pilots, or applied innovation projects. Fluent English and ability to work on international projects and discussions; Spanish is an additional asset.
