Rex.zone is hiring a full-time Medical Coding Specialist in Brazil to translate clinical documentation into ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to support clean claims, compliant billing, and strong revenue cycle performance.

What You’ll Do

• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT/HCPCS procedure codes from clinical documentation
• Apply E/M and modifier rules where applicable to support accurate reimbursement and compliance
• Follow payer policies and CMS guidance, including medical necessity and documentation requirements
• Resolve coding edits and support clean claims submission with claims and billing teams
• Support denial management by analyzing root causes and proposing corrective actions
• Participate in QA, coding audits, and feedback loops to improve accuracy and turnaround time
• Maintain audit-ready notes and adhere to HIPAA-aligned secure data handling processes

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in US medical coding (inpatient, outpatient, or professional services)
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS conventions
• Familiarity with DRG logic, claims edits, and payer guidelines
• Ability to interpret clinical documentation and apply coding compliance standards
• Comfort working independently with productivity and QA metrics in a remote setup

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate: $30–$50/hr
