Role Overview: The Storytelling Engine
Our client is a fast-growing, category-defining AI influencer marketing platform. We help modern e-commerce brands and marketers automatically detect, categorize, and leverage the User-Generated Content (UGC) they are tagged in across social media, making it seamless to manage social listening, secure usage rights, and coordinate influencer gifting campaigns.
We are seeking a highly creative, autonomous Creative Video & Content Editor to serve as the visual storytelling engine for our marketing and brand teams. This is not a passive "order-taker" editing role. We don't provide step-by-step storyboards or overly prescriptive scripts.
Instead, we are looking for a true visual storyteller—someone with the agency, intuition, and independence to take raw UGC assets, customer interviews, and loose concepts and turn them into highly engaging, thumb-stopping narrative arcs.
You must be incredibly comfortable taking high-level, subjective feedback ("make the pacing punchier," "let's make this feel more native to TikTok") and independently translating it into polished creative deliverables. If you have startup experience, love e-commerce and influencer marketing trends, and possess a "Type A" eye for both video rhythm and clean static layouts, this is your next long-term home.
Key Responsibilities
I. Multi-Format Video Editing & Storytelling
- Short-Form Content Production: Edit highly engaging, native vertical videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) utilizing raw UGC, brand assets, and product footage.
- Mid-Form YouTube Content: Edit polished 7-to-10 minute YouTube videos, specifically focusing on customer case studies, founder interviews, and product feature deep dives.
- Narrative Pacing: Structure raw interview files and customer recordings into logical, compelling story arcs that capture attention in the first 3 seconds.
- CapCut & Premiere Workflows: Use a hybrid toolset (utilizing CapCut for lightning-fast, trend-native mobile edits and Adobe Premiere for complex, high-fidelity timelines).
II. Light Motion Graphics & Static Design Support
- Light Motion Graphics (Screened Metric): Implement clean, professional on-screen text animations, transitions, visual overlays, and kinetic typography in Adobe After Effects to elevate standard cuts.
- Static Content Support: Create simple, high-performing static social graphics, cover thumbnails, and carousel assets in Photoshop. (You are not designing brand systems from scratch—our core designers handle brand guidelines—but you must be able to adapt and manipulate assets seamlessly).
- Asset Sourcing: Proactively source complementary B-roll, music tracks, and sound effects to maximize production value.
III. Collaboration, Feedback, & Project Delivery
- High-Autonomy Execution: Operate independently in a fast-paced startup rhythm. When handed vague or high-level creative briefs, confidently propose your own visual treatments and narrative directions.
- Producer Syncs: Participate in weekly 1:1 touchpoints and collaborative feedback loops with our Creative Producers and Marketing Lead.
- Dynamic Revisions: Rapidly and enthusiastically implement changes, leveraging a deep understanding of internet culture and marketing objectives.
Who You Are
Experience & Technical Skills- Proven Creative Track Record: 3+ years of experience editing high-performing video content for marketing agencies, modern B2B SaaS startups, or fast-growing D2C brands.
- Software Tool Stack Mastery:
- Core Video: Expert-level command of Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut.
- Motion Design: Strong working competency in Adobe After Effects for light motion graphics, titles, and overlays.
- Design & Asset Prep: Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop for preparing static graphics and assets.
- Startup DNA: Prior experience working within rapid-growth startups, agile agencies, or highly autonomous freelance environments.
- Fluent Professional English: Exceptional written and verbal communication. You must be able to pitch creative concepts, interpret abstract feedback, and write on-screen text with perfect English grammar and cultural nuance.
- The "Visual Storyteller" Persona: You don't just cut clips together; you look for the emotional hook, the comedic beat, or the strategic selling point in every piece of footage.
- Radical Agency & Independence: You don't need hand-holding. You thrive when given creative freedom and have the confidence to make editorial decisions.
- Feedback-Friendly Resilience: You understand that creative iteration is part of the process. You take constructive feedback in stride and view it as a puzzle to solve.
