About The Opportunity

Join a business-critical engineering team responsible for the performance and availability of B2B and B2C sites at one of the top eCommerce companies in the United States. You'll work hands-on with cutting-edge observability and automation tooling, with real influence over how reliability is built into a high-scale eCommerce environment.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Operations, and Infrastructure teams to reduce MTTD and MTTR.
  • Design, build, and implement infrastructure and application monitoring to ensure optimal platform availability and performance.
  • Investigate, analyze, and recommend approaches to resolve complex operational issues.
  • Maintain clear, reliable knowledge documentation for the SRE team and its partners.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, improve efficiency, and reduce costs across the platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Application Performance Management and monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, SiteSpect, or Datadog.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools such as Zabbix or Prometheus.
  • Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, Couchbase, Redis, or MySQL.
  • Exposure to frameworks such as Dust/Angular, Node.js, or Spring Boot.
  • Experience with log analytics tools such as Splunk or the ELK/Elastic stack.
  • Solid cloud technology background, with meaningful hands-on experience on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong infrastructure and services background, including systems, networking, provisioning, and storage.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Azure CLI, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and orchestration tooling such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, or Jenkins.
  • Proven ability to configure, deploy, and administer infrastructure and application monitoring tools to troubleshoot performance and stability issues in cloud environments.
  • Advanced to Fluent English skills for daily communication with international teams.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Familiarity with digital experience tools such as Fullstory.
  • Awareness of AI/ML applications in observability and incident response.
  • Familiarity with LLMs and AI-driven automation tools.
  • Understanding of AI-enhanced anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
