About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-growth fintech focused on building modern financial infrastructure and payment solutions. This position will have a direct impact on the design, development, and scalability of critical systems that support transaction processing, financial operations, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and scale backend services using TypeScript/Node.js, Go, or Python.
• Build and maintain distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven solutions.
• Develop cloud-native applications and data processing platforms in AWS environments.
• Design and implement robust APIs, customer-facing applications, and internal tools.
• Build data-intensive systems for real-time anomaly detection, financial record integrity, and high-volume auditing.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Compliance, Data Science, and other Engineering areas.
• Drive observability, reliability, and operational excellence initiatives through metrics, alerts, and root cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, defining engineering standards, and making strategic technical decisions.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Solid experience developing with TypeScript/Node.js, and additional experience with Go and/or Python.
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven applications.
• Experience with messaging and streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and high-availability backend services.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and data-intensive systems.
• Experience in cloud environments using AWS (Lambda, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS) or equivalent technologies in GCP/Azure.
• Experience with infrastructure and DevOps tools like Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge or experience working with frontend technologies like React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience using observability and monitoring tools like Datadog, Sentry, or similar.
• Knowledge of security and authentication standards such as OAuth2, JWT, KMS, HSM, and PCI DSS.
• Advanced English.

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous experience in fintech, banking, insurtech, or regulated industries.
• Experience with financial platforms like Stripe Treasury, Modern Treasury, Unit, or similar.
• Experience with Snowflake and modern data platforms.
• Knowledge in AI/ML, MLOps, or frameworks like PyTorch and scikit-learn.
• Contributions to open source projects or active participation in technical communities.
