Senior Backend Engineer

Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Backend Engineer to work on a contract basis. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems to support high-traffic applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that meet performance and reliability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Implement and maintain APIs, databases, and microservices architecture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and system failures.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or similar web service technologies.
• Strong understanding of database design, SQL, and NoSQL systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Ability to write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
